Subject: Scheider worked, but hardly in "prominant" films. After 1979's tour-de-force performance in "All That Jazz", no one can name one other "prominant" film to his credit. A couple with promise, but none the caliber he was offered before 1980.

Author:
Not to say he wasn't very good in roles, but NOT quality films -"52 Pick Up" or maybe "Blue Thunder" ...but none memorable.

In reply to: Maybe he just got old? 's message, "Not sure what you mean. He was still appearing in prominant films in the 90's" on Sunday, February 11, 11:40:00am

He always worked, but needed to attach himself to a schlock series by the mid-1990s "SeeQuest",
which he soon publically slammed -DURING its production! After many SUPPORTING roles, toward the end, he was doing voice over for "Family Guy"?!? ...Yeesh.
