Subject: OT: Am I the only one who finds the excessive phony applause on "Good Morning America" extremely annoying?

According to what I have read, there is no "applaud" sign ..... but .....

There is a guy who, before the show, tells people HOW to applaud and when.

During the show, he waves his hand every 15 seconds or so, which is the cue for everyone in the audience to start clapping, even though there is nothing to clap about.

To me, it is worse than or at least as bad as canned applause and laughter.

If you are a later night show fan, would you be happy if you heard nonsensical phony applause every 15 seconds?
