Subject: According to IMDb, Lusk's first work for Disney was on "Mickey's Polo Team" -82 years ago! At 105, Lusk lived longer than fellow animator on the film, Grim Natwick, who died in 1990, at 100. -Here 'tis from 1936! ...

Donald Lusk
(October 28, 1913 – December 30, 2018)


Don Lusk was hired by The Walt Disney Company in 1933. Some of his more notable work included Pinocchio, Fantasia, Bambi, Song of the South, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty and One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

The great talent of his work is evident in 'Cleo the goldfish' in Pinocchio. ...

Lusk left Disney in 1960, but continued to work as an animator during the 1960s and 1970s. Aside from animation, Lusk also directed multiple cartoon films and series, most notably for various Peanuts TV specials and movies and for the Hanna-Barbera studio. His work at the latter included Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Smurfs and Tom and Jerry.

In the early 1990s, Lusk retired after a career that
spanned 60 years. Lusk died December 30, 2018, at 105. …

    Actually, Walt didn't allow women to be animators. Tompson was an inker and scene planner, later was in a final checker position where she reviewed animation cels before they were photographed onto film. -Here she is interviewed a few years back! ...In 1948, Tompson was promoted to animation checker and scene planner.Monday, December 31, 10:58:23am
