This is a HUGE loss to the film world. His contribution of original music to some of the BEST film scores will be missed. His association with American songwriters Alan & Marilyn Bergman, are many, culminating in their Oscar winning score/song for 1968's "Thomas Crown Affair" ( "The Windmills of Your Mind" ), and 1983's "Yentl" ("Papa, Can You Hear Me?"), and many more! ...Not to mention the haunting Dramatic Score for "Summer of '42" ...Saturday, January 26, 09:37:22am
No one is mentioning the best films he worked on which may also contain his best work - "Cleo From 5 to 7" and "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" (NT)not to mention Godard's "Vivre Sa Vie"Saturday, January 26, 11:08:56am
