Actress' Daughter Succumbs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UPI)—An autopsy was to be performed today on the body of Ethel Six Geary, 25-year-old daughter of actress Ethel Merman. Mrs. Geary was found in her bed Wednesday by her two children, Barbara, 6, and Michael, 5. They were on a summer outing at a secluded cabin in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. El Paso County Coroner Dr. Raul Urioh said there was no evidence of foul play. He said it appeared Mrs. Geary, one of two children of Miss Merman and her second husband, Robert Levitt, died of an “overdose of pills.” When Mrs. Geary’s two children were unable to awaken her, they ran to a neighboring cottage at Green Mountain Falls, 14 miles west of Colorado Springs. The neighbor called an ambulance. Mrs. Geary, who was separated from her husband William had been living in Denver. He now lives in Los Angeles, The couple married May 6, 1960. while both were students at Colorado College.
