Paul Edward Rush

Paul Edward Rush, 79, of Delancey, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Paul was born on July 2, 1939 in Evansville, IN and was a son of the late Paul B. and Agnes I. (Auvil) Rush.

Paul lived an artistic life that most could only imagine. He enjoyed photography and was a very accomplished musician. He had written a folk song that was used in a movie that was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2013 as well as a song sung in the Academy award nominated movie Cool Hand Luke.

For many years he was employed by Reuters News in New York City. He was employed by UC Berkeley for 18 years and produced many educational and historical documentaries; 2 of which he received an Emmy Award. Most recently he had a business giving historical walking tours of NYC.

Paul is survived by his loving children, Christopher E. Rush and Cecily Irene- Abigail Rush; their mother, Susan Rush; granddaughter, Beatrix Melita Rush; brothers Jerry Rush and Kenneth Rush and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Rush.

Services in memory of Paul Edward Rush will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
