In reply to: Bio & PHOTO 's message, "ARCHIVE: May 18, 1995 ~Elizabeth Montgomery, stage, film, TV actress, who began on the heals of her famous father actor Robert Montgomery, finding success in her own rite in TV's "Twilight Zone", and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", etc, prolific in drama & comedy, finding stardom in TV's "Bewitched", later continuing EMMY-nominated performances until her untimely death from cancer at 62 " on Sunday, May 19, 01:41:22pm

Elisha Vanslyck Cook Jr. (December 26, 1903 May 18, 1995) was an American stage, film and television character actor who often specialized in roles as "cowardly villains and neurotics."

He is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of Wilmer in the 1941 version of The Maltese Falcon and the futile efforts made by his character to intimidate Sam Spade (Humphrey Bogart) in the film.

Cook's acting career spanned more than 60 years, with roles in productions such as The Big Sleep, Shane, The Killing, House on Haunted Hill, and Rosemary's Baby.

True, the great character actor Elisha Cook, Jr. was awesome. He was great in everything he did, from "1945's "The Big Sleep", to 1967's "Electra Glide in Blue"! ...Bio & PHOTOMonday, May 20, 11:45:34am
