In Kansas City on Tuesday, the news stations were showing an F5 tornado approaching a populated area near the Kansas Speedway, and were predicting the worst tornado to hit the area since the 1950's. Guess what, nothing happened except for a few damaged homes in Linwood Kansas, a farming community halfway between Lawrence and Kansas City. I mean "take cover" sirens were going off all over town, and then nothing happened. It's hard to conceive that the news stations were blowing it out of proportion just for the ratings, but I think they were.
