Subject: I'm happy for people's success, but there has to be a limit, otherwise these things will be unwieldy and uninteresting, full of names no one knows, and considering how animation has changed, it's not one person winning an award--it's dozens.

No way can anyone be expected to know the most obscure name.

In reply to: Other larger award shows, should hold the same rule, but they have larger membership. 's message, "It should be very black&white...honored EMMY winners and nominees have priorities, then you can add Potsie from Happy Days, after that!" on Monday, September 23, 04:11:31pm

Doesn't matter if they've won or were nominated. When you have sound teams and design teams that number a dozen members or more winning an award, expecting them to be on equal footing as the stars who have also passed is unrealistic.

I think you're confusing the 'Memoriam' topic, with award presentations. Distributing awards is different than honoring their dead. Again the omitted dead would have added just 80 seconds more. (NT)What you're talking about is an ENTIRE awards ceremony, and not the deserving deceased.Monday, September 23, 06:36:10pm
