In reply to: Don't think I've seen an older person with a living grandparent 's message, "O/T: Internet star Gramma (age 105)'s oldest grandson turned 70" on Tuesday, October 22, 06:39:11am

The granddaughter was interviewed for the article.

There was no documentation for the woman's birth date, but there was proof she had a daughter born in 1900, which would have at minimum make her 113 when she died. At the time, I forwarded the article to GRG and corresponded with Stephen Coles about her. He said they had been aware of her and truly believed she was 117, but couldn't list her because of the lack of documentation. Her name was Jeanette I believe. Hers was a fascinating story, but sorry I can't find the article.

Having an 86 year old grandchild is pretty amazing.
