In reply to: Russ 's message, "It's based on personal observation. I've listened to oldies stations for years, and don't recall ever hearing one of his records" on Saturday, December 14, 06:29:34pm

On Kenosha's WLIP, Terry Havel has a show called Rock and Roll Never Forgets which airs Saturday afternoons from March to August (when the station is not airing basketball games). He often plays Jack Scott and believes Scott belongs in the Hall Of Fame. He plays plenty of songs you don't hear at all anymore on market-research oldie stations, and his show has very few commercials. He will also take requests.

I don't work for the station or for Terry and neither he nor the station asked me to post this, so this is NOT spam. I'd simply recommend that any lover of oldies from the 1950s through the 1970s catch the show if they can.

That's cool that you have a station like that. I mainly make my own playlists for the car, but the wife has her oldies station always programmed (NT)RussSaturday, December 14, 09:37:45pm
