Suzy Delair, doyenne of the actresses, died at 102

Suzy Delair is no more. According to Le Point , the oldest actress died on Sunday March 15 at the age of 102. Born Suzanne Pierrette Delaire on December 31, 1917 in Paris, she began her career in 1931, where she played small roles, but was discovered by the director Henri-Georges Clouzot, who became her companion and who made her turn in several cult films: The last of the six , in 1941 and The assassin lives ... on the 21st , in 1942, as well as Quai des Orfèvres , in 1947. She plays Jenny Lamour, a cabaret singer ready to do anything to become famous, to the detriment of her husband, mad with jealousy.

The rest of her filmography includes Rocco and his brothers in 1960, where she plays Luisa, as well as The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob , in 1967, where she plays Germaine Pivert. Suzy Delair also played a few roles in theater and television ( La mythomane, L'Âge vermeil, Traquenards ) before retiring in 1987.

Suzy Delair was notably a singer and a dancer: in Quai des Orfèvres , she had interpreted the songs Avec son tralala and Danse avec moi , which had marked the public.
