ALSO, It had previously (and erroneously) been stated that he was let go from M*A*S*H (1972)
after the producers discovered there were no black surgeons in the Korean War. This is false,
because the character of Spearchucker Jones was based off a black surgeon Richard Hooker
had served with. Brown left M*A*S*H (1972) on his own accord to pursue other projects. -RIP ...
