RIP Michael Keenan, who passed away Thursday at the age of 80. He was a terrific actor who starred in the first two seasons of one of my favorite dramatic TV series PICKET FENCES. He is best known for that series as well as appearances in two of the STAR TREK spin-off series and a recurring role in DALLAS. When it came to sitcoms, he had a nice sampling of appearances as well: GREEN ACRES, ALICE, WKRP IN CINCINNATI, SANFORD, FLO, and CHEERS. A very sad loss indeed.

Patrick Cronin
Michael was one of my best friends in my Alice days (76 77) and through the birth of my two sons. We were great charade players and met once a week to play charades and swap stories. He was the best joke teller I ever met who wasn't a comic and his joke about ".....you're not just here for the hunting" still makes me laugh when I think of him. We lost touch as my wife battled and died from lung cancer and then I moved to Tenn and we lost touch all together. I am deeply sorry to hear of his death.
