Newburgh - Larry Grisham, singer, guitarist, and founding member of "The Beat Daddys", a successful rock and blues band based in Evansville, Indiana, left this life on June 9, 2020 in Evansville.

He and the Beat Daddys traveled all over the United States, Asia, the Pacific, and Europe, to promote his brand of rockin' blues with his astounding stage presence and growling vocals.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie, and father, George. He is survived by a sister, niece and nephew. Additional family includes close cousin, Aaron Vessels; dear friends, Dave and Teresa Cummings, who shared their home with him and were with him as he passed; companion, Maria Reed of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Barbara Thompson, friend and owner of Trader's on the Causeway in Mobile. All will join his family, friends and fans to mourn his untimely death.

He sadly leaves behind Eugene and Janet Pardue, the two people that helped raise him early in life and of whom he spoke with love and respect for the remainder of his life.

A special thanks to Larry's nurse, Cindy, who offered more than medical care. Her warmth and dedication to Larry was a comfort to all.

At his request, Larry will be buried in Mobile, Alabama, next to Britt and Cheryl Meacham, longtime friends and band mate. He also requested that no service or memorial be held in Evansville. A service and celebration of his life will be held in Mobile, Alabama and will be announced at a later date.

He unfortunately had the bad taste to leave this Earth ahead of us. However, we shall catch up as soon as our numbers are up, my friend.

"We've All Got Our Reasons to Sing the Blues, but We'll Always Love You!"
