In 1948, Rita married Carl Franklin Grable in Philadelphia. The couple had one son, Carl Franklin Grable Jr., who died at 31von January 9, 1982 after suffering a head injury while working on an oil rig in Somerville, Texas. Rita died of lung cancer on June 5, 1975 in Texarkana, Texas. She was 51. She is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas. Carl married Joyce O Atchley (1932-1992) in 1976. Carl died at age 82 on February 21, 2004 in Texas and is buried with Rita at Holy Cross Cemetery, Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas, USA.
