I was spanked with the hand, moving on to mum's slipper when older. General bad behaviour, fighting with brother, back chat etc. I was normally spanked over underpants, but did get a few bare bottomed ones for more serious episodes,which I tried to avoid after my first one! When younger I would be in tears before the first smack.
