Also, a friends parent took me over her knee on a few occasions when I was round her house playing with my school friend. This was a reciprocal arrangement with my mother being allowed to smack my friend. Of course, was also smacked by teachers at infant school, & once by an elderly 'babysitter' who run the evening listening service at a cheap holiday camp after my mother gave her permission if I made a noise in the chalet!
