I was generally well behaved and cooperative at school. Part of the middle school and HS handbook distributed at the beginning of each year was a tear-out consent for parents to sign & return if they consented to a paddling. Mine signed. It was freshman year of HS that I earned my first & only school paddling. It was report after school & to bend over the desk. Mr D gave me a whuppin on the seat of my jeans I had coming. The extreme dread made time feel like it had stopped. It was usually over with pretty quickly. For most offenses it was typically 3 swats. But there could be arbitrarily extra ones added.
