I always got my spankings over the knee even if I was getting the belt. My last spanking was when I was 14 for talking back to my dad after being told to do chores. He took me up to my room where he removed his belt and bent me over his knee and spanked me over my jeans. My brothers heard the whole thing and teased me after.

I think that for mothers spanking their daughters, there is no reason to give up the over the knee position nor the bare bottom aspect of spanking (if that is how you do it) just because your child turns a certain age. The advantages of OTK spanking are the maternal closeness and also the juvenile feel of it. A spanking like this reinforces to the older child that she IS still a child who needs to follow her parent's rules. The mother (or father for older boys) can always sit on a sofa and have their child lay over their lap so that the sofa supports the child's weight, if that is the issue.

Em you could be right about that. I got my last over the knee spanking from my mother when I was eight, bare bottom of course. While I was still got spanked (bare) up to my last spankings at fifteen, I never got them over the knee after that last one. My sister on the other still got spanked over the knee sometimes. I saw her have to pull her pants (she didn't have panties on) and lay across mom's lap for a good dose of the hairbrush at sixteen. Mom was sitting on the couch with the hairbrush in her hand and I could see how embarrassed my sister was standing in front of her with her jeans around her knees while mom was scolding her. It was interesting seeing her laying across mom's lap as my sister at that time was 5'5" and my mom was only 5'. The height difference didn't matter to my mom and she wasted no time turning my sister's bare butt red with the hairbrush and she cried like a baby, kicking her legs and promising to behave, while mom spanked her. She let her up after the spanking and my sister was crying and struggling to pull her pants up. Then mom dropped the big bomb on her. In addition to the spanking, she also got grounded for a week. I think she cried even more from finding out she was grounded than from the spanking.

She got her last spanking from mom when she was seventeen. I was living on my own at the time but she had told me about it. She said mom made her pull her panties down and lay across her lap and spanked her with the hairbrush then as well. She also threatened to go get the belt.
