My dad would undress me as he was scolding and lecturing and then spank after he had removed all clothing. My mom would have me stand in front of her as she lectured. Then she would pause and tell me to remove my shoes. As I did that, she would continue to scold and then pause, and tell me to remove my socks, then continue to scold. Usually about 30 seconds or so, as in "sassiness in not acceptable in this house! You are getting a spanking!" My mom usually pulled our pants and undies down just enough to expose our bottom, about mid thigh. They believed in modesty but also believed in the power of a good bare bottom spanking. My father used to just tell us to pull down our own pants especially as we got old enough. After a good dose of the hairbrush or spoon we would be lifted off the spanker's lap and told to pull up our pants and finish crying in our bedroom. Sometimes I would just quickly pull my pants back up but not fasten them, just hold them up as I ran to my room. It was always the same ritual for me. My aunt would be scolding me as we were walking to the room where the spanking would take place. Once inside the room, she’d interrupt the scolding to instruct me to “get those pants and underwear down!” then continue scolding as I positioned myself over her lap and at least part way if not all the way through the spanking.
