We heard those same threats. The car was never actually stopped. But the stop the car threat was also a threat of a spanking when we got home. That did happen a few times. We would try to be extra quiet and behave the last part of the drive thinking it would get us out of trouble. That worked sometimes but not others. There were a few group spanking right in the living room when we got home. So the don't make me stop the car had two meanings. Knock it off now or you may get it now or later.
