I was watching TV and mom had told me probably a couple times to switch it off and go and do something and then when she told me again I smarted off to her probably with something like "I'll do it when I want to ok?" This isn't how a ten-year old should talk to their mom. I was used to getting my own way and being disrespectful like that and getting away with it. But not this time, dad was there and just grabbed hold of me, marched me to my room, bared my bottom and tanned my hide over his lap with his hand. It all happened very quickly, there was no explanation before but there was plenty afterwards. Dad was right to spank me and it was no doubt long overdue. I got a few more spankings like that before things settled down and my overall behavior and attitude improved. My last spanking was when I was 16.
