This brought back a memory from soccer when I was in Germany. It was during one of the games we played against a local German team. In the first few years they took us to the cleaners.
Most of us found these games a good opportunity to taunt the other team with any German profanity we had learned. Usually no-one except the other player heard it and it was normal stuff between kids. During one game the coach on the other team overheard one of our boys and called him out on it during half-time.
While we were drinking gatorade and eating orange slices, the boy, our coach, their coach, and his parents were discussing his conduct. They were about 10 to 15 fifteen feet from us so we heard most of it. He probably would have gotten through the issue but his parents had his little sister in tow. At one point he denied he even knew any german profanity. His sister boldly told everyone he was lying and that she heard him use that language often. He responded by punching her in the arm. It wasn't a love tap either.
The next thing anyone knew his dad was dragging him to the car while his mother and sister followed. His dad was whacking his backside the whole way and promising him a lot more when they got home. He down played it at the next practice but we all knew he got it good.
I remember a few other times when boys got spanked privately by the coach but everyone knew about it.

That had to be embarrassing, although in Little League we were required to wear jockstraps with cups so if that was true for you, then you weren't totally bare getting spanked at the game. Unless your dad took you off somewhere away from the crowd to spank you.
With the boy on our team who got spanked behind the dugout, none of us saw the spanking but it wasn't hard to imagine that his dad took his baseball pants down and strapped him with his belt. That's what it sounded like through the dugout wall. None of us asked our teammate when he came back into the dugout what happened. We knew because that is what would have happened to most of us if we did what he did. Our dad was at most of our Little League games since my brothers played too. He might have waited until we got home to spank us as he usually did that. Mom and Dad didn't seem to be as big on spanking in public as some parents were. But that didn't mean that we didn't worry about getting spanked in public when we were younger. Never would have happened when we were older but up to maybe 10 or 11 years old things were handled differently.
