Thanks for that poem and your very interesting comments.

It made me somehow sad, because it underlines how we humans can spoil the magnificence of the ocean with our presence, something I feel very acutely whenever I go to one of our overcrowded and very often unkempt beaches.

On the other hand, it is not the typical sea poem trying to capture the mystical feelings many of us experience in front of the ocean. In my case, having written poetry for almost 30 years now, the sea is a place where my mind goes blank in some kind of buddhist trance and I can't write a single word at the seaside, only let myself be filled with its poetry. Definitely a place where I get as near as possible to "another world". It is a pity many people use beaches and the sea in such an irresponsible way: I was away last week to Almería, and the quantity of garbage accumulated on an otherwise magnificent beach after the Corpus puente was beyond belief!

By the way, there is a magnificent film showing now called "Oceans". Definitely worth watching!
