I live in a neighboring state and have always been impressed with the NH program. However, I noticed something a former titleholder has said and I wanted to get clarification.

She states that during her year, she was responsible for her own sponsorship (don't know what this means), marketing, booking events, and PR and that she never got a salary. First, I thought NH had a business manager. Second, does Miss NH not get paid for appearances?

Please don't ask where I saw this because I don't want this girl bashed if any of this isn't true. I just am curious how it works in NH.

You should email the State ED. They are very open about financials, etc. (NT)No name16:48:27 04/17/14 Thu
This is completely false. Claudette takes care of bookings and sponsorships. She gets paid for very few events as she does appearances for mostly non-profits...they always say to expect to earn about $2,000 for the year in paid appearance fees. By it varies from year to year. Miss NH does do all of those things. She and Claudette work as a team and Miss New Hampshire's job is to reach out and bring in new sponsors. We now have some wonderful new people on our team that have come from the work of former Miss NH's and lastly Miss NH does not receive a salary she does most of her appearances for non profits and what money she gets from other appearances hardly pays for her gas. We love our former Miss NH's (NT)No name16:33:32 04/22/14 Tue
