Concerning Illinois International pageants..." on 13:24:46 08/04/17 Fri I asked questions and got some answers to clarify as it seems like there are a few individuals hell bent on bashing the new directorship and trying to insinuate there is some conspiracy against the outgoing queens. 1) they were not on the cover due to timing. The new director was told by the prior director to not contact the queens until after nationals. Even then, the new director was not provided pictures needed for the new website and program. Of course this is makes sense as those pictures belong to old director. Therefore, Randi had to coordinate a new photo shoot to have pictures to use. By the time that could be done for all three ladies, the website was already up and the program was far in to being laid out. These three outgoing queens were appointed by the former director. The contracts were with that director and do not involve the new director. In fact, as a director, Randi has the right to not include them at all if she had wanted because typically appointed queens are done with their year when they return from nationals. And there are times when queens of a fired director do not care to support the new director and opt out of participating in a pageant. So a new director has to also prepare for that scenario. Instead, she provided the 2017 queens with new pictures and included wardrobe for them for that shoot. They will have farewell letters in the program and on stage final walks. Their year is showcased throughout the program. There is no need for a Team Bev vs Team Randi. Randi did not steal the program away from Beverly. Beverly was on the way out for the last few years as the state system crumbled under her direction. The new director has made many attempts to include Beverly and her minion Robyn in spite of being scolded on occassion by said minion. She is a far more forgiving person than I am. Luckily, she is more interested in bringing queens together in sisterhood and is looking forward to her first year with new titleholders. So far, it looks very impressive on the Instagram and Facebook pages that also include many prior pictures and mentions of the 2017 queens.
