We are not talking about silence. We are talking about diplomatically showing your list of appearances, your travel time logged, and the payments that you received. When you tell your story face to face, your sincerity and your love of the Miss Illinois program( not ED) is evident and yes, your story becomes very credible and carries alot of weight.
