The story focused on 241 signatures on the online petition; the princess being denied access; over 70 resignations of the state pageant staff; Miss Illinois never getting an accounting for her appearance fees; Amalia changing the by-laws to give herself all day-to-day operating power; tassels being cut off of Megan Ervin's blouse as punishment, privacy invasion and it showed three of the most recent Miss Illinois titleholders having secret meetings with Marc Angeli to discuss how they were treated during their year.....part 2 to come -- ILLINOIS Pageants Board

The POINT is....the WGN story is a complete load of crap and some of ( ALL OF) the people on the panel are not credible. You have a stalker, some chic that got fired because ahe bounced checks and the Teen ED, a few other chics that didnt follow the rules and were put on probation, a pissed off parent ( what else is new?). The point it not to deflect....the point is, people are taking what these 8 people are saying and running with it. They are NOT reliable resources and these stories are made up, hearsay or completely embellished. People are STILL afraid to speak the truth....what sort of backlash would there be? Especially now with AS out? They're cowards! The petition included A LOT of people that never even met AS and had absolutely nothing to do with the organization.
