Ah, so that's what this is all about. Someone's afraid that he'll be part of a new leadership team. I know Doug, and he's made it very clear he's not part of any bid and doesn't want to be. So you can unclinch and relax. But what I find laughable about your post is you make the comment about how important it is to settle this, like this is going to get settled on an anonymous voy board. You would then have to "settle" with the ten to twelve other people alleged to have stalked this queen. Good riddance to her and her drama but you cannot prove a negative. Stalking is a term of art and if her mother is a lawyer and they are accusing others of committing a crime which is UNTRUE they can be sued for defamation. Where he got a raw deal was getting falsely accused of taking Laura to Fran Skinner and her Dream Team. When MAO found out that Laura had worked with Fran, Amalia and MAO threw a fit and called the WI directors. He got thrown under the bus for Laura working with Fran, which was absolutely ridiculous. Fran and Doug were both helpful to Laura and she would not have won without their help. MAO's fear of Fran is ridiculous and reflects poorly on them. He was one of the early defections from the Miss Illinois board under Amalia's reign of terror and went back to Wisconsin, where he had worked before. But Amalia was constantly trying to have his badge access at Miss America blocked or have him blocked from judging state pageants. That said, how often does that happen on this board? There's a lot of mud-slinging based on misinformation, hurt feelings and personal agendas.
