There are plenty of people who would line up behind him to speak up about this stalking farce as we are now emboldened to speak our own truth to power. For clarification, Doug Black's treatment in WI had nothing to do with Christina Thompson. He worked with several Miss Wisconsins after her. Where he got a raw deal was getting falsely accused of taking Laura to Fran Skinner and her Dream Team. When MAO found out that Laura had worked with Fran, Amalia and MAO threw a fit and called the WI directors. He got thrown under the bus for Laura working with Fran, which was absolutely ridiculous. You're reading way too much into my statement. It's sad the environment that continues to be harbored here is one of paranoia & scheming to such a degree that everyone's motives are questioned when they comment. I meant exactly what I said. I agree w/you there's been an effort here to smear him, but it isn't by me. I neither started, nor perpetuated this rumor. I'm not demanding proof. None of my business. And I'm satisfied that someone who actually has a dog in this fight can be trusted to determine whether or not the allegations are true. I'm simply saying that, in any organization where allegations like this are made, they have to be resolved. It's really that simple. Let me add that it's also despicable for someone to falsely accuse him, if that's the case. So my point was that either way, IF he's going to continue his involvement (which it sounds like he isn't), it needs to be settled so people can shut up about it. No passive aggression on my part.
