AS was SO JEALOUS of FSL it was comical. She thought she could waltz in and take FSL's positions on the national level, garner the same respect etc. The country shut her down. She was hated. People put her on their judging panel to stop getting badgered by her to judge. You notice none of the big states would send their top people to judge Illinois. Always scrambling for bottom feeder judges. Our program lost a lot when we lost FSL and got stuck with AS for political reasons. Maybe the new group will be smart and invite FSL to the pageant and gain some of her knowledge. Many formers will not get involved until that bridge is mended. WE can only hope. Unfortunately, as long as the current leadership is in place at MAO, I think the new leadership at the state level will not be able to include FSL in any capacity AND keep their job. One of the reasons MAO overlooked complaints about AS was because of their mutual dislike of FSL. I think we would all be happy if she was able to return, but I don't see MAO allowing that to happen. It is unfortunate. Unless somehow Fran and Sam are able make amends, and maybe that is possible with Amalia out of the picture, I'm not sure what the new leadership can do...other than try to do an excellent job.
