They have done most of the feis' in both the North & South in the past year and are theonly guys who put the efort in coming up with creative backgrounds etc. I know its their business but why then are An Comhdhail choosing someone else for the Worlds.   • no shock... happens all the time. Those 'certain ' teachers or assistants - are renowned for this. A child left in our school last year (and yes I am embarrased to say ...child..) and the manners the child and her family got was nothing less than 'disgusting'.. We were asked to ignore them and encouraged to intimidate them at feises. The 'brown nose parents' at the school agreed.. so that are supposedlt doting parents , did that to a child.... so as bad as teacher and assistant... when I told my husband what was going on... HE made me leave..... We are now at new school and love dancing ... The laughable thing now - those brown noses sit in the company of their teaching assistant every week - honouring their every move and the COUNTRY knows her daughters take privates with another dancer.... You get a good feeling when you see lots of schools sitting together - helping each other to get ready.. laughing away.... YOU also see where you wouldnt want to go - teacher / assistant and one or two 'prized pupils' with them ,- other pupils scattered everywhere else .... that tells you all you need to know. If you are still not sure .. examine their facebook when you get home ... the prized pupils will be one with their winnings... • I love VOY!! This is a topic that always appears..MY advice is consider what you are paying for.. when your child goes to class are they getting their moneys worth. Sit back carefully and watch all the dancers progress each week... either at a feis or a class if yours lets you in. Its amazing how many children can 'appear to learn steps at home'. I know very few champions 'worlds included' who dont get private lessons from 'older dancers' or RELATIONS / Friends... Those older dancers at class / Friends / relations, make some teachers look very good. The teachers are happy to accept their awards at the worlds....... knowingly...   • How insulting your post is to the winners, their dancer teachers and parents, the adjudicators & the organisers. Champions are not born with a cup in their hands - its called hard work, by the child, a dedicated dance teacher(s) along with committed parent(s) to get them there & it doesn't happen overnight. They have had to start at beginners and compete against known champions to become champions. No one is always going to be happy with every result but instead of blaming judging why not look at your own childs performance honestly, The critiscism of Feis organisers, Adjudicators, Teachers, parents and even young children over the last few weeks is very sad to see. I just logged on to see results for yesterday but instead see the same begrudging comments. I am avoiding this forum from now on.
