Hola, Rodrigo!

I am curious about this whole thing:

I'm sure that there is something to it that I haven't gotten yet.
I don't imagine that someone got up one morning and said, "Gee! I think I'll stage a race for naked 11- to 13-year-old boys!"

How did this custom get started?
Is it held on a particular Philippine holiday?
Does it have any connection with the circumcision ceremony?

I understand that the circumcision ceremony started with the Moslems.
But I see this celebration referred to as a "fiesta."
So is this boy's race a Moslem ceremony, a Catholic ceremony, or what?

I have made a collection of constructs which nudity symbolizes.
In this case, does the nudity symbolize anything?
Or are the boys nude just for the heck of it?

Sorry to bombard you with so many questions,
but if you could answer these questions, it will be valuable to me in terms of peace of mind.

And what's this deal about boys peeing into soda bottles?
Is it a contest to see who could pee the most, or what?
