 Hello my name is Thomas. I am the proud parent of 4 boys ages 14,12,11,and 6 years old. I love my boys very much and want them to have the self dicipline that's needed for a healthy and successful life. I am a believer in discipline, learning, and yes, punishment. Some modern practices in child rearing believe the negitive aspects of punishment, to include the sting from a spanking, can cause lasting damage to a developing child. I belive in the logic and psychology of consequences. In our house if one of the boys chooses to be directly defiant, disrespectful, or for major disobedience, I use spanking to correct and redirect certain behaviors. And it has worked very well for all four of my boys. The so called negative enforcement of spankings has had such a positive influence in their lives.
