Subject: Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to the Medical Student's Clinical Experience page. The purpose of this forum is for medical students to share their clinical (and classroom) experiences with patients. This forum is also for patients to share their experiences with student doctors.

Medicine is an exciting career. It is challenging for medical students to learn to be confident and comfortable touching and examining patients. If patients think an examination is embarrassing for them, it is twice as embarrassing for the medical student performing the exam.

Students sharing experiences of performing physical examinations or accompanying another physician to observe a physical examination being performed and patients sharing their experiences of being examined by medical students will make us better doctors.

I will post the first experience that I would like to share to kick off this blog in a few days Mike
