Yes it was a female nurse-- got the butt shots in the upper outer part of my butt, Those were what she called RIG shots, Rabies immune gobulin, Did not hurt gettin them but i did fell sore about 15 min after getting them sort of like lower back pain & the pain wore off in about 2 hrs so no big deal, She was a older nurse and not very pretty looking, She made me bend over the exam table to get them, Funny cuz she did not even rub the area with alcohol she just jabbed them in me, Good thing my parents had insurance as that total hosptial bill came to almost 4 thousand dollars!!!!!!!

Robbie, your experience was similar to a friend of mine who needed the shots after a exposure to a rabid cat. I actually went with him to the ER. He found the four shots in the butt to be pretty unpleasant, though. I wonder how I'd react in that situation. Did she give you all four in a row, or did you have to wait between shots to see if there was a reaction (as my friend did)? Were you nervous before the shots started?

Got the 4 butt shots all at 1 time, took about less than 5 min to get them, yea a lil nervous, but not much cuz i had shots in the butt before, bicillin & ampcillin, so no big deal with the RIG shots, after the shots were done they made me wait about 30 min to see if i wold have a allergic reaction--- no problems, just hated the waiting part, cuz i just hate hosptials.
