Subject: Tetanus shot experience Author: Business man (Disappointing) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Sunday, August 02, 2015, 09:16: pm Thursday on my way back home from a business trip I stopped at a Urgent Care Center just miles away from home. It was 7:00 PM and they were open for another hour so I thought I would stop in for a quick tetanus shot since I was due. Once I was registered, a skinny mid 20's black haired nurse with a smile that would melt your heart, called me back to take my vitals. Once she took my vitals she escorted back to the exam room and asked what brought me in today. I told her I was here for a tetanus shot that was past due and noticed the place on my drive home. Since I had time to kill I thought why not get it done and over with it since it was on my way. After talking to me she said she would them get the order ready, draw up the shot and return to give me my shot. Once she returned with the shot she put on her gloves, grabbed an alcohol pad and asked which arm. I told her whatever made her comfortable and she said she could do either. I said left and as she was preparing to roll up my sleeve I said unless I can get it in the hip! Having read these messages on this board I became curious about receiving shots in the hip area and was hoping that my cute nurse would tell me to stand up, turn around and lower my pants. Much to my disappointment, my nurse said she couldn't do that as for the shot was meant to be given in the deltoid muscle. Now not only am I disappointed about not getting the shot in my hip I also have a sore arm and a Garfield band-aid but I have to say that my nurse was good that I didn't even fell the needle enter my shoulder. One of the other volunteers told me her husband was going bring me a tetanus shot for free. He came in just as we were closing and had me go with him to the bathroom. He said the shot goes in your hip. I had to unzipmy jean shorts and slide them down. He then pulled down my panties to my knees.Here I was standing in front of a complete stranger with my bottom hanging out in the breeze. You could get tetanus which is known as lock jaw where your muscles tense up and it could kill you. Allison told Jessica he gives a good shot. I get my flu shot from him. I'm not sure I am ready to expose my butt. Well he pretty much has seen most of your bottom in your bikini you are wearing. When we got home after we unloaded to truck and boat he drew up 2 shots as we watched.
