My fantasy is to get an injection in the fleshy part of my buttocks and also in the inner lower part, near the anus. But these zones are dangerous to inject because the sciatic nerve runs there
But I saw injections in the centre of the buttock many times.
If I inject subcutaneous, I have any danger of hurting my nerve?

The sciatic nerve is buried under a lot of muscle, so you would need a very long needle to reach it. When I was a kid an injection was always given in the middle of the buttock. It was very rare case where the sciatic nerve was affected. But today, we live in a society where everyone is afraid of a lawsuit if something goes wrong, so they tend to give the injections in a different spot.

Do you think that a 23x1 needle can reach the muscle?

For an adult, a 1-1/4 - 1 1/2 inch needle would be required.

It strongly depends on an individual's muscles structure, but even if we suppose that 1 1/2 of an inch (somewhere between 30 and 40 mm) deep is some kind of an average, it is still not very much! I would never recommend making IM injection anywhere else then into the upper outer quarter. If someone likes doing them in another part of the buttocks, only very shallow and subcutaneous ones can be considered safe. Consequences of sciatic nerve damage can be serious and lasting, so don't risk!

as a kid in the early 60's every shot I got was in the middle of the butt cheek. They were the old glass syringes & 18 gauge x 2" needles. The throwaway syringes came into use in about 1965 or 1966 & then the needles were only 1 1/2" long & they used 18 gauge thru 22 gauge & they started doing it higher up & to the side of the butt cheek. It did not hurt going in until the meds were pushed in.
