Subject: miss universe 2001 is HOT!

As one of the eight unofficial international judges for the M.U.U. I verified my selection with the other seven judges. We agree on most of the candidates, especially on the top-3!

Miss Universe 2001 is going to be Miss Venezuela, Miss Puerto Rico or Miss USA. All depends on how well each candidate answers the last and final question. If Miss Venezuela wants to use a translator this year, I advice her to make sure the translator knows to do his/her job well! But she is competing in a Latin country anyway. So, I am sure Miss Venezuela will perform extremely well. Miss Puerto Rico is competing at home; this is an advantage aswell as a disadvantage for her. Why? As the candidate from the organizing country she enjoys the warmth and the sympathy of her people. At the same time, history has proven that very rarely the candidate from the organizing country wind the crown! Miss USA is competing in a country with extensive bounds with her country. This is an advantage for her. I think she is strong enough to perform well anyway.

The possible surprises in the top are India, Greece and Sweden. If Colombia and Spain end in the top(-6) this would not be a big surprise. Nor if India does. But it would be a big surprise if Sweden and Greece end in the top(-6). If India end in the top-3 that would be a surprise aswell. So, we have had Venezuela, Puerto Rico, USA, Colombia, Spain, India, Greece and Sweden. Who are the other two? Well, Canada and Mexico. Both are quite capable of reaching the top-ten and perhaps even more. Who are the candidates who will be this year's "unlucky ones who just missed the top"?
Well, South Africa, Philippines, Uruguay, France and Peru!

Thanx!
