I think its a good idea but I do worry about timing too. I also completely agree about the teams taking a backside to solos. It's really hard for smaller schools or large schools with only one TC to divide attention between the new dancers who need help getting ready for the traditional set competition and teams needing run throughs and prep too.

I also wonder how they are going to guarentee an entirely international pannel for those competitions.

Overall I hope it works out! It is a great opprotunity for dancers not ready for solos and siblings to participate in the weekend!

- The mid-american region has been doing trad sets for a few years now. I think they have done an admirable job of not making the day go on forever, but they divide them up and put some on each day. There are a handful of people who complain about it taking a little time at the beginning of awards, but most of us think it is great to celebrate these young kids accomplishments.
