As always there appears to be some people who never agree with the results at a feis. There was one school who did not stay for the presentations as their ‘star’ dancer did not win. How they knew beforehand that she did not win is not good. I feel for the rest of the dancers in that school as they were all pulled from the presentation because of one dancer. Having watched the competition concerned I would say that the child concerned was lucky to get where she diid as the standard in that age group has moved on considerably over the past year and with her non pointed toes in clicks and a turned in foot at the back she is lucky to finish where she does. Every feis and result has its detractors and supporters and that will never change. Overall I thought that the event was fine although the venue was a bit cramped and the timekeeping could have been better which is what attracted us to WIDA in the first place. I hope they are not starting to lose their focus on this. Will be interesting to see what happens next.
