Subject: O'Rourke Feis Schedule and Info

HERE WE GO!!! The 2nd Annual O'Rourke Feis is only a week away!!! Below is a few, well quite a few, tidbits of information about our feis.
- First off, have fun. Please respect other dancers, judges, parents and spectators and of course our over 50 volunteers of this feis.
- Please allow for ample time to arrive. Parking is provided at the opposite side of the campus, at the Performing Arts Center parking lot, Lot W-1.
- Upon entry to SUNY Purchase campus, turn left to park and take one of our two 85 seat buses that will be running from 8am to 8pm. My husband, Kevin will be working in the parking lot to help with any shuttle/parking questions (wake him up if he's in his car sleeping)
-Turn right if you want to drop family off at the Physical Education building. There will also be volunteers there to direct passengers
-There is very limited handicapped parking at the Physical Education building. NO other parking is allowed at this building
- There are one set of bathrooms on the feis floor (and it is a green bathroom....meaning no papertowels) so don't ask personnel to refill paper towel holders. Additional bathrooms and locker rooms are directly below the bathrooms.
- Entry cards will be emailed to you by FeisWeb. If you don't get it or forget it, have no fear, we will have one for you at the entry desk. (if you have a balance due, your card will not be emailed, your card will be given to you at the entry desk upon payment)
- Food and beverages will be sold and we ask that coolers are not brought into the facility. Concessions area is small, but we will have a great selection of food. We will have Bagels with butter or cream cheese, assorted dunkin donuts, irish soda bread, assorted muffins, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apples, bananas, and assorted Yoplait yogurts. and that's just breakfast!!! Also assorted deli sandwiches and pizza for lunch.
- Please respect our facility, and especially its floors. A practice room is set up for you , but NO HARD SHOES please. Parents and teachers please advise your students that there can be no hard shoe practice anywhere in the facility. We could lose our venue for next year if this rule is not abided by. We will have security volunteers to ensure the rule is enforced and if broken dancers may be asked to leave or disqualified from the feis.
- We have over 50 volunteers, who are more than willing to help you and answer questions...so please do not hesitate to ask us anything.
- Our blog, orourkefeis.blogspot.com has our schedule, a campus map, a floor plan, list of adjudicators...so please print them out. We will NOT have them there to pick up
- For GPS: The address for the Feis at SUNY Purchase is, 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577
- NO camping in the hallways, please have all belongings in one of the three gyms, or even better, the Locker Room. Be sure to visit our vendors there too. And SoRefeising will located next to the trophies and champ awards. First Aid is available to anyone who needs it. Ask any volunteer if you need first aid, she will get our onsite nurse. Hopefully, no one will.
-HARD shoes first for Champs
- Champ award times will be posted in the hallway. Feis411 will also be posting Award times on Twitter and all first place winners. Please be appropriately dress for awards(will be strictly enforced softshoes or dance sneakers only in the awards area. We will be photographing our podium and perpetual winners. Please allow a few days for the pics to be posted.
-Lost and Found will be at the Entry Table.
-Soda bread entries are to be brought to the Concessions area. Winner will be announced at 1pm
-Our vendors are SoRefeising, Fays Shoes, Head for the World, Dance Bling, Fireball Designs and Dippin Dots (all located in the gyms)
