Author: Knut Holt (Oslo Norway cannot afford it)
Subject: Winter olympic game 2022 - the bid from Oslo Norway

Being a Norwegian citizen, I hope Oslo and thereby Norway does not get to host these megaexpensive games. The Norwegian economy is a serious decline due to decreasing proffitability in the petroleum industry and connected industries and Norway is getting a steadily greater poverty problem in the population, a problem that is virtually taboo to talk about. We need to use resources to solve internal problems actually.

The rizing economical problems also make it dubitable if Oslo and Norway is able to host these games in a seamless and safe way. The infrastructure of Norway is actually seriously worn down and has poor capcity in all means. Norway will not be able to repair this infrastructure and in addition build it out to be able to handle the logistics of the games.

Norway is also a very Narrow society, physically and socially, which means that these games in Oslo will get uncomfortably crowded both for participants, visitors and the population of Oslo and of the surrounding areas. This narrowness already causes incredible daily traffic problems and I cannot see any way Oslo and Norway can mangage the logistics of these games in a comfortable way, even if the technical infrastructure should be built out.
