Subject: 2015 Patriot League Softball Tournament

Tournament set-up is such that it takes two losses to be out.

Thursday (Games 1 & 2):
Game 1: Lehigh defeated Army (1 vs 4 seeds)
Game 2: Bucknell defeated Colgate (2 vs 3 seeds)

Friday (Games 3-5: Two teams end their season):
Game 3: Bucknell vs. Lehigh: winner relaxes for the rest of the day
Game 4: Army vs. Colgate: loser goes home. [1:05 PM ET - on the Patriot League Network!]
Game 5: The winner of the Army / Colgate game plays the loser of the Bucknell / Lehigh game. Loser of THAT game goes home.

Saturday: (Game 6 [and 7 if needed])
Winner of Game 3 vs Winner of Game 5 (game 3 winner would be loss-less, hence the Game 5 winner would need to win two-in-a-row).

Tough loss yesterday leaving an uphill battle....

LET'S GO COLGATE SOFTBALL! Too good of a season to be two-and-out in the tournament.

first part of the season was good. but team has now lost 9 consecutive league games.

I think the coach left Brigit in for one inning too long. She had pitched great but, it was plain she was losing the edge. Team needs to rally and get the next one. Go 'gate, beat Army.

Army became a threat in the 7th but, 'gate holds on to win.

Good news: The seeding was accurate.

#4 Army out first.
#3 Colgate out second.

#2 Bucknell vs. #1 Lehigh tomorrow. Bucknell needs to win two-in-a-row. Unlikely.

Before I turn my full attention to Men's lax, I'll note this:

The Colgate women who play softball are true students and wonderful athletes. I really wanted them to either win out or finish second to Lehigh, but I respect the students on this team and hope they hold their heads high.

Very few seniors on this team, so let's have a great '15-'16 ladies.

Second those comments. These young women are a credit to their parents and Colgate. They all have much to be proud of. Good season. Win it next year.
