Colgate with the win improved to 7-2-5 for a .679 winning percentage. That matches the best Raider record through 14 games since the 2003-04 squad went 9-4-1, also for .679.

Could't agree more...Shae Labbe, wow! And only a freshman. It's about time this team puts itself on the map! Not expecting miracles, but an improvement in the program is terrific to see. The Raiders have definitely moved out of the bottom tier and are formidable this season.

There's definitely reason for optimism. However Gate only registered 7 points to make it into the 10th spot in the poll.

They've only played 5 ECAC games so far. The least ECAC games a team has played is 4, the most 8.

After having Dec. off, they'll run the gauntlet of 16 ECAC games starting in Jan. That will be the test.

Good signs so far....too early to judge how they'll take to the war zone of 8 weeks of ECAC competition!

Congrats on their first national ranking in program history! Soft schedule so far IMO...a tie against #7 Qpac is their only true test IMHO and the remaining schedule is ominous.

However, another squandered 2-0 lead now gives Mercyhurst a 3-2 advantage in the third. Colgate has made great progress with new recruits but still has a mountain to climb against quality competition. Raiders are 3-22 against Mhurst.

The Freshmen on this team are truly outstanding.
The team has only 3 Seniors and a robust group of underclassmen complementing the Freshman. ( That's how significant the First Years are! )

They're on break until Jan. 4. The rigors of nothing but the ECAC will be daunting. It will be interesting to see whether their success can hold up and evolve !
