I was told that Steffen and Bridgeforth both were awarded redshirts for this year, if this is true it's great news.

since there was no reason to deny them redshirt status I think this was a given.....

Compared to a school with graduate Depts., is gate's fifth year for just playing football without any requirement to attend classes if you've already met your undergraduate degree requirements ?

I believe a sr (steffan) will either take a semester off this year or take a lighter credit load and then pickup a class or 2 in the spring, an underclassmen (bridgeforth) could do either as well

Guess, Bridgeforth (also a senior) certainly seemed happy about it based on his Tweet last week.

Having these two guys back will be huge. Will be interesting to see who Syracuse's head coach will be for the first game (since they just fired the head coach).

Anybody know if anyone else is getting a redshirt? Maybe Wisniewski?

Not a redshirt, but assuming he keeps his grades up Obinwa should be back next year too. Have seen him on the sidelines & met him at the beginning of the year, he's huge & would be another big piece on the DL.
