Subject: Lafayette game

Lafayette is next on the schedule docket. What do posters think about the game this Saturday in Easton? While the Pards are in the PL cellar, is there any chance they could pull an upset on home turf? Will the Raiders have a letdown after the Fordham win or be looking beyond the Leopards to Lehigh on the 14th? Comments?

Lafayette showed major improvement last week when three starters returned from injury. Watch out two more starters return this week. Go 'Gate! Stay aggressive!

The Good (for Colgate):
The Pards are 1-8, with their one victory coming against a Wagner team that is currently 0-8. Their improvement last week resulted in an 11-point loss to a lackluster Bucknell. Ignoring Bucknell and Wagner, the Pards are averaging 5.3 points a game of offence while giving up an average 35+ points per game. Including Bucknell and Wagner, those numbers are 11 and 34, respectively.

Every game from here on out is the patriot league championship for Colgate.

The Bad: Any Given Saturday....

Colgate by 14 in a game that should not have been nearly that close....

One game at a time ;-).

In the meantime, it sure would be nice if the Bison could take down the Rams this Saturday, while simultaneously the Crusaders crush the Mountain Hawks.

beat LC and LU and the Bucknell game will not matter, the PL auto bid will have been secured!!

pards had over 20 kids out with injuries, getting a few back every week and more this week HOWEVER a winnable game
if Raiders win the next 2 (LC & LU) the PL auto-bid is secured! that should be incentive enough to come out swinging and not play flat!!

I'm also optimistic about this game though given our track record this year it's likely to be closer than we'd like. Hoping Laffy continues to heal as it would be great to see them beat Lehigh in a couple of weeks! Just no resurrection this weekend...

Based on weather think I'll head to Easton for the game. Haven't been there for many years, any tips on logistics, ie best place to park? Doesn't sound from the Colgate email like there's an organized tailgate.

Parking is tough there. Arrive early. Be prepared to walk back to the Stadium. The good news is that hopefully many Pard fans will have given up on the season and fail to show up. Can't blame them.

Parking is a piece of cake. Use the Hamilton St gate to the stadium, Colgate team buses will be parked on Hamilton right at the gate. Just avoid any campus lots, park on one of the residential streets east of Hamilton. Could use The Lafayette Inn address for GPS - 525 W. Monroe St., Easton. See you at College Hill Tavern after the game - 420 Cattell St. New owners, renovated; burgers and club sandwich surprisingly good. Or try Sette Luna, Ferry Street, downtown for wood fired pie and great salads. Easy metered parking, 2 mins from stadium.

I believe I was the only AGS poster to pick Gate to win it all in the preseason thread. Although I wouldn't mind a setback for you guys tomorrow.:)

Andy: how about we meet at 12:40 behind the goal posts at the Kirby end of the field? We did that a few years ago. Cr(colorless raider).

Absolutely! If our room isn't ready, we'll be there, too!

CR, I will look for you for sure. Hey, that was the Relph game, 2007. Does time not fly? Yikes!
