I don't see how a potential 7-4 record would be rewarded with a home playoff game. If any committee looks at our attendance from this past week's championship game, which was appalling, they would reward someone else.

These two brackets have Colgate at #3 Sam Houston (ugh) or possibly at Richmond, though there is much to be decided with one week to play.

Even Fordham at 9-2, having topped Army, could be on the road.

It's not a "reward". It's a bidding process. The minimum guaranteed bid for the first round is $30k representing 75% of expected receipts. We'll be a lower slotted team (only the top 8 teams are "seeded"), but we could get a home game if we make a high enough bid. The NCAA will try to minimize travel costs, so we won't be playing Sam Houston State. Most likely W&M, Richmond or Villanova. The bids are due tomorrow. We don't know who our opponent will be, but if they didn't submit a bid or we outbid them, we'll get a home game. (See Colgate vs Wagner 2012.)
