The schedule has nothing to do with students attending games. The students don't attend games. A couple hundred might show up for football but they are gone by halftime. The only hockey game they come to is Cornell. When you leave a huge gap with no home games, folks find other things to do and you permanently lose some. People have a lot of options today.
